4. Follow the doctor’s instructions if there are specific requirements (e.g., fasting before blood tests).
5. Prepare questions you would like to discuss during the consultation.

The consultation begins with a detailed medical history (anamnesis) regarding complaints, past illnesses, and lifestyle. This is followed by a physical examination, which may include:

• Auscultation of the heart and lungs
• Palpation and inspection of the abdominal area
• Assessment of joints, skin, and lymph nodes

If needed, additional laboratory and imaging tests may be prescribed – blood count, biochemistry, X-ray, ultrasound, ECG, and more. At the end of the consultation, the physician provides a treatment plan, referrals to subspecialists if necessary, and recommendations for prevention.
