Biography
Dr. Akif Ali Shaban graduated in Medicine in 2007. He began his professional career as a resident physician at the Cardiology Clinic of the University National Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment “St. Ekaterina,” where he later specialized in Cardiology.
Since 2013, he has been a specialist in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
In early 2019, he joined the Military Medical Academy, where he became Head of the Department of Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Shaban has completed numerous advanced training courses in Interventional Cardiology and Angiology in Austria, Germany, France, and Turkey. He has also actively participated in both national and international scientific forums.
Dr. Shaban performs a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures. His practice includes echocardiography, exercise stress testing (ergometry), and interpretation of Holter ECG and Holter blood pressure monitoring. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of high-risk patients, with a primary focus on emergency cardiology.
